Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:

  1. The Sandy Springs City Council agreed to purchase five sculptures to participate in the ArtSS in the Open competition. ArtSS is a nonprofit founded in 2008 to facilitate public art works in the city. Volunteers work every year to find beautiful works of art from around the country to participate.   2. Some victims targeted in the spree of at least 15 home invasions in Sandy Springs believe that social media could be partly to blame for the incidents. A couple, who preferred not to be named, felt that online posts featuring their belongings could have led to the robbery attempt. As of Wednesday, police were still searching for a remaining suspect, Jeremy Caldwell, who is linked to the case. (Yahoo News)
  3. The Sandy Springs City Council approved a contract with a call center for a five-year service period to help handle call volume. The company Faneuil processes around 130,000 calls for the city each year. (The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
