The incident happened around 11:15 a.m., Oct. 14, at a Carroll Manor home after officers received reports of gunfire in the house, police said.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation previously said the reports came in after friends arrived to conduct a welfare check at the home.

The suspect, who the GBI identified as 56-year-old Atlanta man Herbert Mesa, was accused of shooting at officers when they went into the home. An officer was grazed in the shooting, and Mesa then barricaded himself inside the home, police said.

The first clip of the newly released footage appears to show officers convening in a hallway, announcing themselves and attempting to enter a room before what sounds like multiple gunshots can be heard.

An officer seemingly retreats into a bathroom. Officers can be heard asking, "who's hit," before it appears the officer in the bathroom responds that he was hit in the finger. More gunshots are heard.

In the second clip, it appears some officers retreated downstairs after the sound of gunshots. A third clip seemingly shows a different angle.

SWAT officers responded, and after Mesa was barricaded for about two hours, police said he surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

Mesa was taken to a local hospital, where he was in stable condition at the time, the GBI said. Authorities added the injured officer was also taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.

Fulton County Jail records on Wednesday showed Mesa was booked five days after the shooting and faces charges of three counts of aggravated assault against a law enforcement when engaged on official duty and three counts of possession of firearm or knife during the commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies. He remained incarcerated Wednesday, jail records showed.
