  1. Brandon Hall School in Sandy Springs has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy as of Sep. 28, citing financial constraints as the reason for suspending classes for the 2023-2024 term. The school reported total liabilities of over $7.2 million, with a significant portion secured by its property valued at $7.6 million. The largest debt owed is a $4.68 million mortgage to Atlanta International School, and while the details of the bankruptcy plan are yet undisclosed, experts are speculating potential reorganization strategies to keep the school operational. 2. On Monday, a new exit opened for drivers who take 400 northbound to get onto I-285. The new 4A/4B exit will have drivers exiting about a mile sooner approaching the Glenridge Connector. The Georgia Department of Transportation says to pay attention to the signs as GPS apps may take time to update this week. (Atlanta News First)
