Why are you seeking elective office?

I want to ensure Sandy Springs remains a safe place for future generations to raise their families.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Crime is the single most pressing issue facing Sandy Springs. I believe that our community must continue to support the first responders to ensure the safety of the residents. I will focus on ensuring our first responders are appreciated and are provided with the tools and support necessary to perform their functions.

What are your short- and long-term goals if you are elected?

Short term goals:
1. Maintain and strengthen our first responders
2. Focus resources on fixing potholes and other minor street problems.
3. Find a easy mechanism for residents to receive support for zoning or permit questions.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Rather than speaking about the other candidates, I would prefer to talk about my intentions if elected. I have always believed in public service as evidenced by my 30 years volunteering with Camp Sunshine, a camp for children with cancer. Further, I am a fiscal conservative who has managed for 23 years a budget larger than the annual city budget. This commitment to serve and my financial expertise should provide benefit to the Council.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

I want to elicit thoughts and opinions from all constituents within Sandy Springs. I have really enjoyed meeting so many people and listening to their views on a variety of issues. It is through active listening from a diverse group that the best solutions are found. I want to take that approach for my constituents.

What do you like best about living in your city (or county)?

I love the livability and increasing walkability of our City!

The best advice ever shared with me was:

My father told me being on time is being 5 minutes early.
