Deedy’s latest children’s book is the story of librarian Miss Lotty, who is retiring from guarding books after 557 years of faithful service. Just before Miss Lotty leaves her post, disaster strikes. Someone has ordered all books removed from the library and replaced with machines.

It's enough to make Lotty feel a bit, well... dragon-like.

The book is illustrated by award-winning artist Michael P. White.

Deedy, a former HIES parent, works with the school’s fifth-graders each year, helping them to find their voice and create their own picture books.

Deedy’s book is available in book stores and online.
