Lace Up for Learning: Annual Lightning Run 5K/10K – An Official Peachtree Qualifier

Ready to turn your steps into success for Sandy Springs students? Join Sandy Springs Education Force (SSEF) on Saturday, October 25, 2025, for the Lightning Run 5K/10K, an official Peachtree Road Race Qualifier that brings the community together for fitness, fun and a powerful cause.

This spirited race isn’t just about crossing the finish line. It’s about fueling opportunities. Proceeds directly support SSEF programs that make a lasting difference for local students, including after-school enrichment, STEAM initiatives, mentoring, reading programs, and college and career readiness resources.

“Every runner, walker, and cheerleader helps spark brighter futures for our students,” said SSEF Executive Director, Irene Schweiger. “The Lightning 5K/10K is an incredible way for the entire community to come together, get active and give back.”
