Movies By Moonlight Postponed For August

Leadership Sandy Springs has postponed its outdoor Movies by Moonlight series planned for August.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Following directives by both Gov. Brian Kemp to restrict large gatherings and the City of Sandy Springs decision to cancel its summer concerts and entertainment events due to the upward surge in coronavirus cases, Leadership Sandy Springs will postpone its outdoor Movies by Moonlight series planned for August.

Leadership Sandy Springs Executive Director Jan Paul said they are "disappointed not to be able to bring Movies to Moonlight to City Springs next month, but out of concern for everyone’s health and safety, this is the right choice.”

“We have not completely given up on the idea of hosting Movies by Moonlight,” Paul said. "But are looking at how and when we might be able to do it. We know what a popular family event this is. Right now, we want to encourage everyone to follow the social distancing guidelines, wash hands and wear a mask. It’s so important.”
