  1. Following anti-Semitic attacks on two synagogues in Georgia, the Atlanta City Council passed a resolution condemning anti-Semitism and recent neo-Nazi demonstrations. The resolution received unanimous support and called for the Atlanta Police Department to remain vigilant against bias-motivated demonstrations. Both Georgia Republicans and Democrats expressed strong opposition to the extremist groups involved. (Subscription: The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
  2. On Monday morning, there were multiple crashes reported on interstates in the metro Atlanta area. One crash occurred on Interstate 75 southbound in Clayton County, another on Interstate 85 northbound at Virginia Avenue in Fulton County, and a crash on Georgia State Route 400 (GA-400) southbound in Sandy Springs. These accidents caused significant delays for drivers, with lanes being blocked and a road closure on Hiram Douglasville Highway in Paulding County. (FOX 5 Atlanta)
  3. A problem at a wastewater treatment plant in Roswell caused a sharp increase in E. coli levels in the Chattahoochee River. This led to concerns for public health and the closure of the river for recreational activities. Efforts are being made to fix the issue, but it will take some time. Officials are calling for an investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future. (Axios)
