The plan is designed to build toward a vision of establishing Roswell Road as a “boulevard,” City officials say, where motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists can all safely share and enjoy access. Covering an area from Dunwoody Place in the north to the city limits near Meadowbrook Drive, the Roswell Road Access Management Plan will analyze safety deficiencies, turning inefficiencies and other potential obstacles to greater mobility and connectivity while pinpointing features of the roadway that benefit motorists and non-motorists.
The Access Management Plan began last summer and wrapped up its Phase I – data collection and analysis — last month. Community input will be collected throughout the project, and all presentations, displays and an online public input mapping survey will be posted on the City’s website following the meeting.
