State Rep. McLaurin Receives House Committee Assignments

State Rep. Josh McLaurin represents House District 51, which includes parts of Sandy Springs and Roswell.

SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Now that he's taken his oath of office to begin his first, two-year term as a state legislator, State Rep. Josh McLaurin received his committee assignments for the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.

The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. McLaurin to the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Judiciary Non-Civil and Special Rules committees.

“I’m honored to serve on these three committees, which do important work to uphold the rule of law in Georgia,” the Democrat from Sandy Springs said. “Our mandate is to pass laws reflecting Georgians’ values and to ensure we use taxpayer funds responsibly in carrying out those laws.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston, is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

McLaurin represents House District 51, which includes parts of Sandy Springs and Roswell.
