STEAM and Career Pathways Open Doors to Bright Futures at North Springs High School

All Fulton County Schools students are invited to discover how North Springs’ STEAM Magnet and Accelerated Career Diploma (ACD) programs open doors to exciting futures. All North Springs students engage in creative, collaborative, and critical thinking experiences through integrated, innovative learning in science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math.

The STEAM Magnet Program is designed for students who are passionate about exploring science, technology, creativity, and design. Students participate in project-based learning, interdisciplinary coursework, and opportunities to apply their knowledge through research, competitions, and hands-on experiences. The program empowers students to think critically, collaborate effectively, and approach challenges with curiosity and confidence—skills that prepare them for success in college and beyond.

The Accelerated Career Diploma (ACD) program offers motivated students the opportunity to earn both a high school diploma and industry-recognized credentials in two high-demand career pathways, such as cybersecurity, technology, and skilled trades. Through coursework, hands-on training, and partnerships with local employers, students gain real-world experience that prepares them to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. Or they may prepare to continue their education at a college or technical school and earn both a STEAM Magnet certification as well as their career credentials. ACD students receive transportation from their home school to North Springs and from North Springs to the partner technical college.

As a comprehensive high school, North Springs offers 26 AP courses in multiple disciplines, over 60 extracurriculars and clubs, 17 varsity sports—several with JV and 9th-grade teams—and the largest and most robust Work-Based Learning program in the county. Students can also take advantage of in-person World Language courses in Spanish and French and a Freshman Academy that helps all 9th graders transition successfully into high school life.
