Here are the top stories in Sandy Springs today:
- The Sandy Springs Planning Commission pushed back hard on proposals to "loosen stormwater management restrictions." Residents and members of the Sandy Springs Council of Neighborhoods alike questioned the proposed changes. Concerns arose specifically in regard to the areas surrounding Nancy Creek, which has already grown to around 20 feet wide in certain areas. (Reporter Newspapers)
- The Planning Commission recommended changing the city's short-term rental regulations, limiting the amount of time a residence could be rented to 100 days. Rental companies such as Airbnb and others track the amount of time properties are rented, which would be one method of enforcing the proposed change.
