2 Palatine Residents Charged In Aurora Riot: Report
Both have been released on their own recognizance.

PALATINE, IL—Two Palatine residents were arrested during the Sunday evening protest in Aurora, which began peacefully and turned violent. The looting, burning and destruction of property led to the city being placed under a state of emergency.
After all was said and done, one officer was injured and 17 people were arrested. Among those arrested included Austin C. Hoening, 24, and Genevra E. Mazzeri, 22, according to Journal & Topics.
Hoening was charged with felony aggravated battery of a peace officer, aggravated battery wearing a hood or mask, and possession of a controlled substance.

Mazzeri, 22, is accused of resisting a peace officer.

More than a thousand people descended on downtown Aurora Sunday evening to demonstrate outside city hall. The demonstration turned violent about 90 minutes later when officers fired tear gas at protesters about a block from city hall.
Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin on Monday estimated the total damage to businesses and city property was more than $3 million.
