3 Burglars Steal Cash, 2 Bottles Of Tequila From Gas Station: Police

The burglary was reported near Rolling Meadows early on Thursday.

COOK COUNTY, IL — Police are searching for three people accused of burglarizing a gas station in unincorporated Maine Township early on Thursday.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office released more information regarding the burglary, as well as photos of the suspected burglars, on Saturday morning. Police say they were called to investigate the burglary in the 3200 block of Central Road at about 4:10 a.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived at the scene, police recovered security camera footage that showed a BMW pulling into the gas station in the 600 block of Greenwood Avenue, and three people in masks breaking the glass door and entering the business.

The group removed cash boxes from a video gaming machine, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. They also took two bottles of tequila, police said.

The burglars then headed to a nearby gas station but fled the area when an alarm went off.
