911 Call Regarding Gunfire, Stabbing Prompts Large Police Response: Palatine PD
A fight between family members resulted in an arrest, but police found no evidence of reported gunshots.
PALATINE, IL — A fight between family members sparked a 911 call indicating the possibility of a stabbing or shooting Friday night, both proven false during the subsequent police investigation, though an arrest was made. Tianna Davis, 23, of the 4400 block of West End Avenue, Chicago, was charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
The situation has been fully investigated and there is no threat to public safety, according to the Palatine Police Department.

Police responded to the 911 call at around 9:30 p.m. in the 300 block of North Carter Street. Officers immediately increased patrol presence in the area out of an abundance of caution while assessing the situation.

Upon arrival, police found an injured 18-year-old male and gave him medical care. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said while early information suggested the possibility of gunfire, a "comprehensive" investigation found no indication that a firearm was involved or that any shots were fired.
