More Than 3,000 Without Power In Cook County
As of 9:40 p.m. Monday, May 27, thousands reported power outages in Cook County.
COOK COUNTY, IL — More than 3,000 people are reporting power outages as of 9:40 p.m. Monday, May 27 due to severe thunderstorms across Cook County, according to ComEd.

Radar and automated gauges indicated 1 to 1.5 inches of rain had fallen in parts of Will and Cook counties by 5:35 p.m. on Monday, according to the National Weather Service, which reported 0.25 to 0.5 inch of additional precipitation was possible before 7:15 p.m.

Multiple tornadoes are believed to have touched down Monday in Illinois, where a tornado watch was in effect until 9 p.m. for several counties.
