“Please join us for our annual Veterans Day commemoration,” said Cramer. “This is an opportunity to commemorate the service of veterans of all wars. Unlike Memorial Day when we remember those who died preserving our freedom, on Veterans Day we honor the men and women who set aside their civilian pursuits to serve their nation's cause, defend the freedom of mankind and preserve our precious American heritage.”

The American Legion Family consists of the American Legion, the Sons of the American Legion and Legion Auxiliary. The American Legion and Legion Auxiliary began in 1919 while the S.A.L. was created in 1932 as patriotic veterans organizations devoted to mutual helpfulness. These organizations are committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
