Palatine Bank Robbed By Man Possibly In Wig: Cops

The incident happened Friday morning at the Chase branch on Dundee Road.

PALATINE, IL — A man who might have been wearing a wig robbed a Palatine bank Friday morning. Authorities are searching for him after he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The robbery happened at around 9:34 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Chase Bank, 1131 E. Dundee Road, according to the Daily Herald. A teller was given a note demanding money by the man, who didn't talk during the incident and escaped north across Dundee, the report added.

The FBI released the following description of the individual:

  • a black man in his mid-to-late 20s
  • 5-feet-10 to 6 feet tall
  • weighing about 200 pounds
  • a possible mustache and dark hair

During the robbery, the man was wearing a dark gray, zippered, lightweight jacking with pulled-up hood and bill in the hood, the Herald reports. He also was wearing a gray sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt pulled over his hands beneath his jacket, the report added.
