PALATINE, IL — A 28-year-old Palatine woman and alleged gang member is accused of opening firing on two men over the weekend, wounding one of them in the chest and elbow, according to police. The shooting stemmed from an undisclosed dispute, and the three individuals allegedly belong to the same gang, Palatine police said Monday.

According to police, officers responded to a call of shots fired at around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, in the Motel 6 parking lot, 1450 E. Dundee Road. No shooting victims were in the parking lot when officers arrived, but police did find multiple bullet casings at the scene.
