Palatine's Newest Asian Restaurants: What Diners Should Expect

Find out more about the hours, menus and other details for these proposed eateries approved by the Village Council this month.

PALATINE, IL — Two new Asian restaurants that will call the Palatine Centre shopping plaza received final approval from the Village Council last week. Those businesses joined a gourmet Chinese eatery that was given the green light a week earlier to open less than a mile away along Northwest Highway.

Special-use permits were granted to Takumi Japanese Homemade Curry and Tonkotsu Ramen Benkei Japan during the Village Council's Sept. 17 meeting. Last month, both restaurants — as well as Fortune Noodles in Century Plaza Center — received recommendations from Palatine's board of zoning appeals.

These three restaurants aren't the only new Asian dining establishments coming to the village, either. The Village Council still needs to decide on granting special-use permits to Dream Place, 1280 E. Dundee Road, and Vegiita USA, which also is proposed for Palatine Centre. The zoning appeals board recommended special-use permits for both businesses in August.
