2 Injured In Pine Grove Middle School Crash: Police
Police said a school was evacuated in the Carney area Thursday morning following a crash.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Pine Grove Middle School was evacuated Thursday morning after a driver hit the building, according to police. Two people were injured, including the driver, authorities said.
The crash occurred at 8:39 a.m. at the school on Old Harford Road, school officials reported. A car rammed into the building and broke through the wall of a classroom, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.
One student suffered minor injuries and was evaluated by medical personnel, school officials said.

The driver was in his vehicle when officers arrived at the crash site, and police said he was taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police did not identify the driver, nor did they indicate a cause of the crash, which remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department's crash team.

After students and staff had evacuated, the fire department reportedly authorized their return to the building 9:05 a.m.
