Fallen Tree Damages Multiple Malden Homes: Report

The tree came crashing down in the early morning hours.

MALDEN, MA — A fallen tree damaged two homes in the early morning hours on Thursday, according to a report from WCVB NewsCenter 5.

The tree reportedly came crashing down just after 4 a.m. on Prentiss Street. Resident John Freggetta said the tree caused damage to the attic and crawl space of the home he has lived in for more than 50 years. He asserted that the tree came down due to the fact that it was rotten on the inside and inhabited by squirrels.

Malden’s Tree Warden and other city officials are inspecting other trees in the area out of precaution.
