Hot Chocolate, Carols, More At Malden Lincoln Commons Tree Lighting

Malden Ward 7 City Councilor Chris Simonelli and Mayor Gary Christenson have invited community members to the event.

MALDEN, MA — Malden celebrated the holiday season this past weekend with its annual tree lighting at Fellsmere Pond.

A week later, the city’s Ward 7 neighborhood is now set to keep the party going with its own lighting this weekend, officials announced.

The tree lighting at Lincoln Commons is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. City Councilor Chris Simonelli and Mayor Gary Christenson shared an invitation to the event on Tuesday, promising new holiday lights, Christmas carols, hot chocolate and cookies.

Santa is also set to make an appearance.

The event is free and open to all, with sponsorship help from Local 25 Teamsters.

Malden separately announced a major Santa visit to town this week, with Saint Nick set to arrive at Pine Banks Park later this month on Dec. 17.
