Malden Participates in MBTA's Youth Pass Program

Individuals between the ages of 12 and 18 are eligible if they live in Malden.

MALDEN, MA - City officials would like residents to know that the application process for the MBTA’s Youth Pass program is ongoing.

The MBTA partnered with Malden, Boston, Somerville, Chelsea and the Chelsea Collaborative to pilot a Youth Pass last year. The Youth Pass is an unlimited ride pass for local bus and subway at a reduced cost.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Participants will have to agree to anonymous data collection on their usage of the MBTA in order for the MBTA to assess the costs and benefits of the Youth Pass.
