Please join us for the Malden Reads Film Screening and discussion of the film, Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution. The film will be shown on Wednesday, February 28, 2024: 6:00-8:30pm.
This Film Screening is one of Malden Reads’ 2024 season of events for the book, Being Heumann, by the “Mother of the Diasability Rights Movement,” Judith Heumann. The film will be followed by a discussion with our special guest, Salima Slimane.
Salima Slimane is currently an Arabic and French lecturer at Boston University. She holds an Ed.M. in Special Education from BU’s Wheelock School of Education & Human Development. Salima is very passionate about special education and promoting inclusive practices. She is on the board of Mass Advocates for Children, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to removing barriers to educational and life opportunities for children and youth.
