Arts & Entertainment

From the most recent Fan Expo, Boston MA, Aug 5

Fun, exhausting, eye-opening.

I will be appearing on THE STEVIE B SHOW with Steve Bertorelli at Medford Community Media at a later date. There I will share my thoughts in more depth.

Three preliminary observations: First, it was mobbed. I ran into some friends, and told me that even they thought it was mobbed. And they are regulars at these conventions. Also, be prepared to walk, a lot. According to my pedometer, I logged over 14,000 steps.

Second, much like a supermarket, all the really good stuff is on the outer perimeter, including ARTIST ALLEY and one of my favorite artists, Jeff Brennan. Jeff drew, among other things, one of my favorite cartoons, COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG. It was a thrill to personally thank him for such a wonderful cartoon.

Finally, if anyone ever told you that Henry Winkler was one of the nicest guys in the world, believe them. Having a press pass, I was able to buck the autograph line. However, being a halfway decent person, I did not take vantage. I simply shook Mr. Winkler's hand and told him that I was an Emerson College 79 grad.

Again, more on an upcoming THE STEVIE B SHOW.
