Why do you believe the local hero should be recognized or honored?

My cousin Tim is not only a caring, fun and compassionate teacher at the Ferryway school in Malden. He also runs a program/fundraiser every year at Thanksgiving time called “CUTIE PIES”. He asks people to donate money to buy pies for thanksgiving for homeless shelters and BREAD OF LIFE, which is based out of Malden. This past Thanksgiving they raised the most money ever! With extra left over money raised which was donated for groceries and supplies to different organizations! He does this every year!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the local hero?

He’s a kind person and a great teacher. The kids love MR. RUFO!

Thank you for all you do, Tim Rufo!
