Linda Plaut Newton Festival Of The Arts To Return July 21-22

Since 2015, the festival has showcased local talent and Newton Cultural Council grant recipients for many organizations and artists.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride (NCP) will host the 8th Annual Linda Plaut Newton Festival of the Arts on July 21 and 22 at the Hyde Playground in Newton Highlands.

According to organizers, the Newton Festival of the Arts spans many facets of arts and culture, including several genres of music from bluegrass to baroque, soul to funk, and pop to jazz.

Since 2015, the festival has showcased local talent and Newton Cultural Council grant recipients for many artistic organizations and artists.

“This year’s festival is bigger and better than ever," said Blair Lesser Sullivan, Executive Director of NCP. "We are excited to expand our offerings of free live music and family programming on alternating stages all day and include a live mural painting, an arts market, and opportunity to cool down with the Kona Ice Truck and a beer and wine area for the adults on Saturday afternoon. There is something for everyone to enjoy!”

“We are very excited to once again bring the Festival of the Arts to Newton and bring the community together to share in the joy live music and the arts can bring," added Gloria Gavris, Chair of the NCP Board of Directors.

The 8th annual Linda Plaut Festival of the Arts is produced by Newton resident, Christopher Pitts,
presented by The Village Bank, and supported by local businesses, individual donations, and community grant support from the Newton Cultural Council and Eversource.
