The New Philharmonia Orchestra will present a unique concert experience titled "Feelings and Expression" on May 4th and 5th at Grace Church in Newton Corner, MA. This program features a world premiere composition, a rising young soloist, and a beloved classical masterpiece.
New Work Explores Emotions of Frontotemporal Degeneration
The highlight of the concert is the world premiere of "Ramblings - a FTD 'Frontotemporal Degeneration' Journey" by Bernhard Metzger, a founding member of the New Philharmonia and Newton resident. This piece in four movements aims to capture the emotional rollercoaster of living with FTD, a form of dementia.

Award-Winning Young Cellist Takes Center Stage
Newton's own Hayden Ren, a sophomore at Newton North High School and a rising star in the cello world, will be the featured soloist. Hayden has a string of impressive accolades, including recent first-place wins at the New England Conservatory (NEC) Preparatory School Concerto Competition and the NEC Prep Solo String Competition.
