Newton Centre's 3rd Annual Shop & Stroll Set For Sunday

Shops and restaurants will have specials, there will be carolers and Newton police will set up a cruiser for toy donations to those in need.

NEWTON, MA — A day of holiday shopping, eating, caroling and caring is set for Newton Centre on Sunday as part of the third annual Holiday Shop & Stroll.

The event, organized by community marketing firm ALL Over Newton, will run from noon to 4 p.m. where shoppers can visit stores, restaurants, and bakeries and take advantage of special offers, tastings and holiday refreshments.

Carolers from the First Unitarian Universalist Society and the Temple Emanuel Children's Choir will spread holiday cheer, while the Newton Police Department will set up in the Centre's main parking lot for donations through The Village Bank's Annual Holiday Gift Drive.

Gifts for the Village Bank Gift Drive should be new, unwrapped, and suitable for children ages newborn to 10 and can include age-appropriate toys, games, electronics, and sporting goods as well as gift cards from local merchants.

Newton police resource officer Leo is also scheduled to be at The Village Bank Holiday Gift Drive from 1 to 3 p.m.
