Newton Television Station Launches Fundraising Campaign For Its Future
NewTV has been a presence in Newton since 1992.
NEWTON, MA — NewTV has announced a two-year financial campaign with the goal of comprehensively updating its video technology and conducting an infrastructure redesign.
NewTV is a nonprofit organization with nearly 150 members that specializes in multimedia training, production, and content distribution.
The initiative, titled “Future Forward: Advancing Media Excellence for the Next Generation” aims to raise $300,000 to help fund a transition to 4k video technology.

The television station located at Newton Media Center on 23 Needham St. named the decline of cable television as a main reason why its desired changes are necessary. Executive Director Robert Kelly expressed his belief that investing in 4k technology is the key for long-term success moving forward.
“The capital campaign is a testament to our commitment to staying the leader in community media," NewTV Board President Paul Sears said. "By investing in advanced technology, we are not only ensuring NewTV's ability to provide exceptional services and programming for our members and the broader community well into the future but also opening up new possibilities and opportunities for growth."
