Newton's Nonantum Village Has A Full Schedule For The Holiday Season
Three major events are planned for the Christmas season.
NEWTON, MA — Nonantum Children’s Christmas Party Association has a busy holiday season planned with multiple events scheduled to take place in its namesake Newton village.
The festive season will begin on Sunday, Dec. 7 with the annual Park Lighting event at Coletti-Magni Park. Hot chocolate will be available to enjoy along with Christmas caroling to listen to at 6:15 p.m. Santa Claus is slated to arrive approximately 45 minutes later. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa with a return address included.
The festivities pick back up on the night of Friday, Dec. 19 with Dan Fontaine and Memphis Sun Mafia’s “A Vegas Christmas” Elvis Pressley tribute show and dinner at the American Legion Post 440 on 295 California St. Tickets for the event are now available online for $35 each. Tables of 10 are also available for $300.

The season concludes with the Christmas Parade on Sunday, Dec. 21 at 12 p.m. The procession will include Santa Claus, Elves, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. The parade will begin on West Street and finish at Coletti-Magni Park at approximately 1:30 p.m.
All proceeds collected from these events will be donated to local organizations including the John M. Barry Boys and Girls Club, the sports leagues of Newton, Newton Recreation Department, and Newton Athletes Unlimited.
