NEWTON, MA — The City Clerk’s Office is alerting Ward 4 residents about a possible vote by mail error they may have received.

According to Acting City Clerk Cassidy Flynn, residents’ voting envelopes may have wrongfully included a voting package that contains a different person’s information. To resolve the issue, the town says affected residents can either correct the information themselves in writing, request a replacement ballot through calling or email or acquire a new envelope at city hall. In addition, they can also vote early in-person between Saturday, Oct. 25 and Wednesday, Oct. 29 at city hall.
The Newton Municipal Election is on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
