Rebecca Pomroy Foundation Announces 2025 Grant Opportunites
The Rebecca Pomroy Foundation is now accepting applications from local nonprofits serving women and girls in Newton.

The Rebecca Pomroy Foundation, Inc. is now accepting applications for our 2025 grant funding cycle. We fund organizations that provide health-building, educational, and recreational opportunities to people of all ages, with a special preference for organizations located in Newton that provide training, education, and counseling for girls and women in need.
“We are thrilled to welcome a new round of grant applications this year,” Pomroy Foundation President Victor Lee said. “As always, we welcome applications from a diverse range of organizations that serve those in need. It’s always a pleasure to provide continued support to organizations we have previously funded, as well as to learn about and support new organizations and initiatives that are strengthening our community every day.”
Any tax-exempt organization under 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code may apply for financial support, with preference for organizations that provide services to the Newton community. Applications for our annual, competitive grant process are due by 11:59 pm on March 1, 2025. Individual awards typically range from $2,000 to $15,000, for a total annual giving of approximately $120,000.

Rebecca Pomroy founded the “Newton Home for Orphan and Destitute Girls” in 1872. The orphanage later became a neighborhood community center bearing her name in 1939, and finally a foundation in 1955. Today, the Rebecca Pomroy Foundation continues Rebecca Pomroy’s legacy by supporting local nonprofits that serve women and girls in need in our community.
