SOMERVILLE, MA — Somerville officials are reminding residents that it remains Christmas tree disposal season in the city.

The City has said that trees will be collected and turned into mulch. Through February, mulch will be available for free at the Department of Public Works Yard, located at 1 Franey Rd.

After Jan.31, residents still looking to dispose of Christmas trees must do so by contacting 311 to arrange pickup. This option will remain available from February through mid-April, according to City staff.
