Somerville Entities Join Forces To Preserve Art Studio
The Arts and Business Council recently purchased the studio.

SOMERVILLE, MA — More than 35 local artists have announced a campaign fundraiser to preserve their workspaces at Central Street Studios.
The studio is located on 57 Central St. The fundraiser aims to financially support the Arts and Business Council of Greater Boston, which recently purchased the four-floor property with assistance from the city for the goal of preserving it for artists.
“It has always been our desire for 57 Central Street to be a place where artists thrive,” now-former owner Karen Morse said. “We’ve nurtured this creative community space for over forty years. Now it’s time for Jim Grace and the Arts and Business Council to steward it into the future.”
