Tickets On Sale For Lego Discovery Center Boston, Re-Opens April 14
Located in Somerville's Assembly Row, the center has undergone a $12M renovation and is the first "next generation" center in North America.

SOMERVILLE, MA — The first tickets went on sale Tuesday for the renovated Lego Discovery Center Boston in Somerville's Assembly Row.
Lego Discovery Center, located at 598 Assembly Row, is scheduled to open on April 14. When it does, the attraction will be the first "next generation" Lego Discovery Center in North America, according to a LEGO spokesperson.
Formerly known as Legoland Discovery Center, the Somerville location opened in 2014. The facility closed temporarily last summer and has undergone a $12 million renovation.

According to Lego, the new Lego Discovery Center will include new and reimagined popular experiences like the state-of-the-art Lego Space digital experience, Minifigure Creator and Duplo Park.
"The new immersive experience is designed to allow more family learning-through-play activities and will also include a new team of specialist Playmakers and Master Model Builders who will continue to inspire guests through fun, interactive Lego Creative Workshops," the company said in a statement.

Lego's statement continued: "Lego Discovery Center will be a place where your imagination and creativity know no bounds. An amazing indoor adventure of more than 43,000 square feet where adults and children create and play together as they make their way through twelve zones including building adventures, an interactive ride and much more."
"First to Play" tickets to the new Lego Discovery Center are available via the center's website, and will allow guests to visit in the first days and weeks of the Grand Opening, according to the company.
These are the new featured zones at Lego Discovery Center Boston:
- Spaceship Build & Scan: Design and build a Lego spaceship, take charge, and launch it into the digital universe.
- Build Adventures: An entire area dedicated to playing and creating with Lego bricks.
- Duplo Park: Here the littlest builders and their families can learn and play together, solve puzzles, build with Lego Duplo building bricks and catch the ducks in the Duplo duck pond.
- Minifigure Creator: Choose from a billion Lego heads, bodies, legs, and more to build your own Minifigure.
- Hero Adventures: Lego City meets Lego Ninjago in the fast-paced hero adventures. Become the star in your own story. Run through the Lego laser maze, conquer a climbing wall and see how fast you go in a crazy action game.
- Creative Club: Playmakers lend a hand to guests, sparking their imaginations to create custom creations. Daily building activities from mosaic making to portrait painting with Lego bricks will inspire you on your creative journey.
- Lego Tree of Togetherness: Plant your own Lego ideas on the trunk or in the branches and get inspired by the Master Model Builder and his team.
- Mini World: Made with over 1.5 million Lego bricks, planes fly over the tallest towers, day turns to night and some local landmarks creep into the skyline too.
