Memorial Day: What's Going on in Watertown Today

Today is Memorial Day, and the annual Memorial Day Parade will start at noon. There are other events throughout the day, and some businesses and government offices will be closed.

The parade begins in Coolidge Square in East Watertown and heads down Mt. Auburn Street into Watertown Square, where it turns onto Main Street and ends near Town Hall.

A Memorial Day ceremony will be held at Saltonstall Park (next to Town Hall) following the parade.

In the morning veterans groups will mark Memerial Day with observances around town. .

Libraries: Closed.

Schools: Closed.

Banks: Closed.

Stock market: Closed.

Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only.

Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion.

Liquor stores: Closed.

Supermarkets: Open.

Convenience stores: Open.

Taverns, bars: Open.
