Witnesses told police that when the truck passed, LeClair lost control of his bicycle and fell into the truck’s path. LeClair had been participating in the Trek Across America bike ride for the American Lung Association.

The truck, driven by a 24-year-old Quebec man, did not stop after the crash, but police later located it. Charges likely will not be filed against its driver.
