People and organizations that have stood out in their effort to protect Watertown's historic buildings and places will be honored on Thursday, May 23. Several awards will be handed out at the ceremony, which begins at 7 p.m. at the Commander's Mansion, in the Watertown Arsenal. Light refreshments will be served. The recipients are: The Richard E. Mastrangelo Memorial Award - Harvey Steiner The Environmental Preservation Award - Tufts Health Plan and Home Depot The Community Service Award - Joyce Kelly The Historic Resources Award - Carole Katz, Watertown Savings Bank The Historical Resources Award - William McEvoy, Jr. The Architectural Preservation Award - The Browne House, Historic New England The Architectural Preservation Award - Mary Bracoloni and David Breen, 35 Marion Road.
