Sen. Warren is 'Watertown Strong' After Meeting with Fire Chief
Watertown Fire Chief Mario Orangio presented the senator with a Watertown Fire Department "Watertown Strong" T-shirt during a meeting in Washington, DC.

On his trip to Washington, DC, Watertown Fire Chief Mario Orangio met with Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and presented her with a "Watertown Strong" T-Shirt.
"Met up with the Senator and presented her with our WFD Watertown Strong tee shirt which she says she'll wear with pride!" Orangio wrote in an e-mail.
Orangio is attending the National Fire and Emergency Services Seminars and Dinner as the president of the Fire Chiefs Association of Massachusetts.

"Our message to the Federal legislators is to support Fire Act Grant funding. This is through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant programs," Orangio said.
During his time as chief, Watertown has received three grants fron this program totaling around $200,000, Orangio said.

"The program always seems to be on the chopping block but we've enjoyed good support from the Massachusetts delegation," Orangio said.
