Watertown Middle School Says Goodbye to Guidance Counselor

Debra Carolan left after working for 28 years in the Watertown Public Schools.

Watertown Middle School recently said goodbye to long-time guidance counselor Debra Carolan, who worked in the district for 28 years.

The Watertown Splash, WMS's student newspaper, interviewed Carolan before she left the school in November. 

Carolan told Splash that she will miss the middle school and that she "enjoyed getting to know students’ strengths and weaknesses so they could work together for improvement."

Before becoming a guidance counselor Carolan worked as a teacher in the Belmont, Arlington and Boson schools, according to the report. Ashley Davis was hired to take over as the eighth-grade counselor.
