Watertown Police Log: Gas Station Broken Into, Money Stolen

Oxygen tanks used at a summer camp reported stolen; gas station broken into.

Aug. 20, 5:17 p.m.: A Jamaica Plain resident was arrested on Sixth Street on a warrant from Waltham District Court, police said. Samson Abraha, 38, of 45 Mozart St. Apt. 3, was charged with making threats to commit a crime, police said.

Aug. 22, 2:23 p.m.: A Watertown man was arrested on Main Street after a warrant check, police said. Michael Dominic Pizzi, 28, of 69 Elm St., was charged on warrant from Cambridge District Court with kidnapping and disturbing the peace, police said.

Aug. 24, 1:54 a.m.: A Watertown woman was arrested on Templeton Parkway, police said. Heather M. Brun, 30, of 123 Templeton Parkway, was charged with assault and battery, police said.

 

Incidents

Aug. 20, at 3:13 p.m.: A Rutland Street resident reported a GPS was stolen from her car between 7 p.m. the night before and the morning of the 20th.

Aug. 22, 2:30 p.m.: Vandalism was reported on Duff Street. A resident reported her car had been dented, police said.

Aug. 22, 4:54 p.m.: A bike was reported stolen on Keenan Street. (See related story on a man being arrested for stealing six bikes after )

Aug. 22, 10:59 p.m.: A Worcester Street resident reported that equipment used at a summer camp — three oxygen tanks and a rolling medical cart — were stolen from under a tarp in her driveway.

Aug. 23, 6:01 a.m.: Identity fraud was reported on Clyde Road.

Aug. 25, 6:56 a.m.: A burglary was reported at Perfection Plus on Pleasant Street, police said. A surveillance camera recorded someone forcing open the gas station's back door and used a blowtorch and a hammer to get into the safe and steal an undisclosed amount of money. Police are investigating.

Aug. 26, 9:22 a.m.: A Fayette Street resident reported the front grill of their 1995 Volvo was stolen sometime over night.
