Berkeley Cops Arrest Toms River Man For Back Child Support

Christopher Taylor, 32, owed nearly $30,000 in child support.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Berkeley police recently arrested a Toms River man for failure to pay $29,256 in back child support to the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

Patrolman Thomas Eichen conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Hyundai Elantra at 12:18 a.m. on Oct. 20 and arrested Christopher Taylor, 29, Dove Street on an outstanding warrant from the Sheriff's Department, the chief said.

Taylor was processed at police headquarters, then taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River. Berkeley police also charged him with driving with a suspended driver's license and driving with a suspended registration, DiMichele said.
