National Weather Service Issues Wind Advisory For Jersey Shore
Wind gusts of up to 50 miles an hour are possible before approaching cold front moves through

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Batten down the hatches.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory until late this afternoon, as a cold front begins to move through the area.
Southwest winds of 15 to 30 miles per hour have already arrived. They will gradually switch over to the west.

"Winds are increasing in advance of a strong cold front approaching the area," the NWS says. "The strongest winds will occur between now and around noon today. Winds will diminish later this afternoon and this evening."
Downed power lines, trees and tree limbs may blow down and scattered power outages are expected.

Secure anything that can blow away, like patio furniture, garbage cans and lawn decorations.
Temperatures are expected to gradually drop into the low 30s this evening.
