Republicans Sweep All Four Berkeley Council Ward Seats
All incumbents were handily re-elected.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - All four Republican incumbents easily won re-election to the available ward seats on the Township Council.
Councilwoman Judy Noonan, who ran for the Ward 4 seat, was the top vote getter. She received 2,852 votes, or 73.47 percent. Her Democratic challenger, Gary Clifton, received 1, 028 votes, or 26.48 percent.

Ward 1
Councilman James J. Byrnes received 1,789 votes or 66.84 percent, twice as much as his Democratic challenger Lynn Hansen, who received 883 voters, or 33.16 percent.

Ward 2
Angelo Guadagno received 1,749 votes, or 67.53 percent, more than twice as much as Democratic challenger Maria Morales, who received 838 votes, or 32.36 percent.
Ward 3
Sophia Gingrich received 2,633 votes, or 69.82 percent, also more than twice as much as her Democratic challenger Donna Walesiewicz received 1,134, or 30.07 percent.
