Car Stolen From Summit Bagel Parking Lot Tuesday: Police

Police said the BMW was unlocked with the keys left inside.

SUMMIT, NJ — A car was stolen from the Summit Bagel parking lot on Morris Avenue Tuesday morning, according to an alert from Summit Police.

Summit Police were searching for suspects involved in the theft of a black BMW 535 four-door sedan from the lot on 529 Morris Avenue. Police said the car was unlocked with the keys inside.

The suspect vehicle was a black Dodge Durango, which was later seen on Passaic Avenue near Kent Place Boulevard attempting to take an Audi in a driveway, according to police.

Spokeswoman Amy Cairns said the vehicle left town and was identified by a license plate reader entering Newark.
