Summit Police Blotter: $1,500 Worth of Items Stolen From Vehicle in Residential Driveway

The following information was provided by the Summit Police Department.

March 8, 2013: At 11:54 a.m. police received a report of theft of Ariens snowblower valued at $700.00 from the property of a Tanglewood Drive resident sometime between Feb. 8 and March 8.

March 14, 2013: At 6:31 a.m. police received report of theft from vehicle while it was parked in a Gloucester Road residential driveway sometime between 11:00 p.m. on March 13 and 6 a.m. on March 14. Reported missing were an Ipad 64, an Iphone 4s, black leather computer bag, black Beats wireless head phones and a NorthFace fleece jacket (black/blue). Total value of items stolen $1,500.

March 14, 2013: A 7:37 a.m. police received a report of unlawful entry to a vehicle while it was parked at an Oak Ridge Road residence. Contents of glovebox thrown across passenger seat, but nothing known missing at this time.

March 17, 2013: At 12:55 p.m. police received a report of theft of black Tahari wool coat with fur cuffs and collar valued at $600 from a Woodland Avenue church sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.

March 18, 2013: At 11:01 a.m. Boettcher, Mark A., 51, of Springfield was arrested at Summit Avenue and Union Place for Assault Vehicular 3rd Degree –Person Operating Vehicle While DUI & Causes Serious Bodily Injury.

March 20, 2013: At 5:14 p.m. police received a report of theft of Samsung 3S cell phone valued at $200 from a patient’s room at Overlook Hospital sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on March 16.
