
Wyckoff's Temple Beth Rishon will observe Rosh Hashanah with a series of services today and Friday.
The independent, liberal temple will mark what's referred to as the Jewish New Year with a service at 9:30 a.m. today. The observation will continue as follows:
- Youth program: 11 a.m.
- Family service: 5 p.m.
- Tashlich service: 5:30 p.m.
- Mincha service: 6 p.m.
- Candle lighting: 7:59 p.m.

- Morning service: 9:30 a.m.
- Youth program: 11 a.m.
- Candle lighting: 6:58 p.m.
- Evening service: 8 p.m.
The youth programs will be lessons geared to specific grade levels, with kindergarteners through sixth-graders being exposed to learning activities, songs, stories and a snack.
The temple asks that all those attending services hold their own tickets as opposed to a parent offering tickets for the whole family, to ensure an orderly procession into the temple.

Parking will be allowed on the north and south sides of Russell Avenue, from the temple driveway east to Harvest Court. Parking also will be available on one side of Kelly Court and Eder and Farview avenues. Overflow parking is permitted in the lots of the nearby Bergen Christian Testimony Church and Grace United Methodist Church. There is no parking on Sicomac or Russell avenues.
