RIH and Wyckoff BOE, Free Movie Coming Up This Week

Here is a taste of what you can expect around town this week.

Enjoy this teaser of what is happening in town this week. 

  • The Ramapo-Indian Hills Board of Education will meet on Monday, May 6 at 5:45 p.m. for a closed-door session. Public meeting is to follow at 8 p.m. An animated crowd showed up at the last meeting to discuss a probable reduction in the district's music program. There is expected to be time for public comments and questions.
  • The Wyckoff Board of Education will meet on Monday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Middle School for an executive session. The purpose is for the board to discuss a  H.I.B. (harassment, intimidation and bullying) case and contractual matters with regard to new personnel. A public meeting will follow at 7 p.m.
  • The Franklin Lakes Mayor and Council will meet Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Borough Hall. The Mayor and Council have been working on a plan for borough fundraising. An update on this issue is expected.
  • The Wyckoff Township Committee will meet Tuesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall. There is a public hearing on the 2013 municipal budget and a vote to adopt the budget on the agenda.
  • Monday at the Movies in the Wyckoff Public Library will be showing Les Miserables at 2 p.m. on Monday. Admission is free and popcorn will be available. Call 201-891-4866 for more information.
  • The Franklin Lakes Board of Health will hold a regular meeting on Monday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall. The 2013 approved Board of Health budget and temporary food license fees are on the agenda.
